Item up for bid is an awesome lot of 6 vintage postcards of various types and conditions that all show different images of the Emerson Harrington Bridge in Cambridge, MD that connected Dorchester and Talbot Counties in Maryland ( Eastern Shore / Delmarva Peninsula) by spanning the Choptank River that divided the counties. This bridge was constructed in 1933 and was an engineering marvel for it's time/ The bridge served traffic until 1987 when the current Malkus Bridge was constructed as it's replacement and the Harrington Bridge was turned into a fishing pier. Many of the cards in this lot would have been made in the years right after it's opening when it was considered an area attraction.

Cards are all in various conditions showing varying degrees of wear around edges and corners and varying degrees of soiling and patina. Some are in posted condition with others having no postal markings or written messages. Items were found in a recent estate buyout of a long time collector of Delmarva Peninsula / Eastern Shore postcards so some show some pencil written prices on the back where the original owner acquired them from various shops and markets over the decades.
