** A rare signed true 1st edition/1st printing of the 2024 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction winning novel from Jayne Anne Phillips - with some storage bumping **





Jayne Anne Phillips (b. 1952) is a multiple award-winning American author and short story writer.   Her first short story collection was 'Sweethearts ' published in 1976 and her debut novel was 'Machine Dreams ' published in 1984.   This is her 6th novel and was named the Winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction on 6 May 2024.





'Night Watch ' published by Alfred A Knopf in New York on 19 September 2023, 1st edition/1st printing, standard modern hardback, [xi] + 285 pages.





A rare signed copy of this true 1st printing, flat hand signed by the author at the title page.   This was signed by the author at/around the time of the book's release in September 2023 - this is not a copy that was signed at a subsequent post-Pulitzer event.


Internally in As New unread condition, the book has a deckled-edge finish to the fore-edge of the text block, a light production crease to the bottom corner of the first 3 pages of chapter 1. 


Externally the book is tightly and squarely bound but classed as in near fine condition as a result of storage wear whilst in the hands of the US publisher and/or the original US retailer.   This is principally pushing/crinkling to the foot of the spine and the lower gutter ends (see photo 9), light wear at the head of the spine, light crinkle to both upper corner tips.   


The dustjacket is unclipped at $28 and is in near fine condition, with resultant crinkling at the areas where the book has storage wear.
