Wonderful one-of-a-kind hand-carved and painted wild turkey sculpture by noted game-call maker Tim Oldham Jr., especially known for his work associated with turkey hunting and custom turkey calls.

This detailed carving depicts a wild turkey perched on a carved tree limb and is mounted to a handsome wooden display base. The brass plaque on the front identifies the piece:

“Original 1 of 1 – By: Tim Oldham Jr.”

Even better, the reverse of the carved limb is personally signed and dated:

“Tim Oldham Jr. 4-20-18”

and inscribed:

“Custom Carved for Fred Gillotte”

The carving displays excellent feather, bark and facial detail and measures approximately 10 inches tall, with the turkey itself roughly 4 inches across based on the measurements shown in the photographs.

A particularly interesting piece for a collector of Tim Oldham Jr. game calls, turkey hunting collectibles, contemporary folk art, wildlife carvings, or sporting art. Unlike a production decorative carving, this example is explicitly identified by the maker as an original 1-of-1 custom piece.

Please review all photographs closely for condition, (but it looks excellent to me), measurements, construction, signature and inscription, as they are an important part of the description and details put into creating this unique carving.
