PROFESSIONAL OTDR TESTING TOOL

A launch cord places a known length of fiber between an OTDR and the fiber link being tested.

The 160 m / 525 ft launch fiber allows the technician to separate the OTDR from the first connection and evaluate near-end connector events that could otherwise be affected by the OTDR dead zone.

It may also be used as a receive / tail cord at the far end of a fiber link to help evaluate the final connector and end-of-link events.
