I’m beyond excited to share with you the treasured inventory from Neat Stuff Enterprises—the beloved Philadelphia collectibles shop that felt like stepping into a time machine of pure childhood wonder.
For more than 35 years, my late wife, Giovanna Del Buono, filled those shelves with magic. Walking through the door meant the gleam of mint-in-box action figures under glass, and Giovanna’s infectious laugh as she pulled “just one more gem” from the back room. Whether you were hunting down that elusive 1960s Beatles poster, a Holy Grail G.I. Joe, or an autographed photo you’d given up on ever finding, Giovanna remembered every piece and every story behind it. She won “Best of Philly” for 60s memorabilia, graced the pages of newspapers, and even brought her passion to Don Pollec’s World on local TV—but to thousands of us, she was simply the heart of the store.
The bell above the door doesn’t ring anymore, but every item I’m listing here still carries the glow of those Saturday afternoons spent digging through boxes, swapping stories with fellow collectors, and walking out with something that made your eight-year-old self cheer all over again.
These aren’t just toys and posters—they’re little time capsules of joy, curated with love by someone who truly understood why we collect: to hold onto the moments that made us feel most alive.
If something here makes your heart skip the way it did when you first spotted it on Giovanna’s shelf so many years ago, then her legacy lives on.
It’s an honor to pass these pieces of happiness along to you.
1978 KISS DuPont Tyvek Bomber Jacket - The Faces + Flames Variant - Original Aucoin - Made in Italy - Size XL / 12 - WITH Cuffs - Museum Grade
Up for sale is the holy grail of KISS apparel - the 1978 DuPont Tyvek jacket featuring the full Faces + Flames artwork. This is NOT the common no-cuffs kids version. This is the first-run variant WITH navy ribbed cuffs, Made in Italy, tagged XL with original size 12 sticker - the largest size made.
WHY THIS JACKET IS A GRAIL:
In 1978 KISS licensed DuPont to produce a promotional bomber jacket made of Tyvek - a new paper-ish synthetic that was light, shiny, and wildly colorful. As the official KISS archives state:
"Not paper, as the instruction sheet says but Tyvek a new paper-ish material... Two variants exist - with and without cuffs. The versions in the ads were a prototype jacket with the logo much further down."
Most surviving examples are Youth Small/Medium, NO cuffs, heavily cracked and faded. An XL with cuffs, with both front Flames AND back 4 Faces (Gene Demon, Paul Starchild, Ace Spaceman, Peter Catman) intact and vibrant, is exceptionally rare. These were mail-order only via Aucoin and sold for one season in 1978-79.
This jacket has:
PROVENANCE & TAG:
This matches confirmed originals: Aucoin 1978 by Agreement with KISS, Made in Italy. Later runs were Made in USA without cuffs. Italy = 1st run, most desirable for collectors.
CONDITION - Collector Grading: Very Good for Tyvek:
Tyvek is SUPPOSED to be crinkled - that's the material.
This jacket has NO tears, NO rips, NO flaking, NO writing inside.
