I broke my latch on my silverware basket on my Whirlpool dishwasher.  The basket door would then flop open spilling the silverware all over inside the unit.  Finding the part number for the entire basket (W11158802) was super easy but then I found that Whirlpool doesn't sell just the latch and prices for a new basket start at $50!!  

So....I put my mind to work and 3D printed the appropriate latch.  Using a flat screwdriver it was easy to gently pry off the old part and snap in my new one.  Printed in PETG this part is durable and withstands heat from the drying process.  This part may come in Gray, Black or deep blue it will be a random selection.

So the choice is to spend $50 or more on a new basket or get this part for less than a third of the price.
