A striking vintage solid glass paperweight featuring a reproduction of Jerome Tiger's celebrated 1966 artwork, Trail of Tears. The image is presented within a substantial, polished solid-glass block measuring approximately 4.25" x 2.625" x 20mm thick and weighing 10.5 oz.

The glass has an especially interesting optical quality. A green felt backer creates a beautiful refraction effect along the polished inner sides of the block, causing the green color to visually travel through the edges of the glass. This effect is particularly noticeable when viewed from different angles and under changing light.

The artwork is signed within the image "Tiger '66," corresponding to Jerome Tiger's signature on his 1966 work. Tiger (1941–1967) was a prominent Native American artist whose paintings and drawings frequently depicted Native American history, culture, and traditional life.

Condition

Very good vintage condition overall. The solid glass block has a clean, polished appearance with the expected minor signs of age and handling that may be present on a vintage glass object. The reproduced Trail of Tears image remains clear and attractive within the glass, with the "Tiger '66" signature visible as shown. The green felt backer is present and contributes to the distinctive optical refraction effect visible around the edges of the block. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the condition description.
