Rare vintage oversized fountain pen advertising model / shop display, handcrafted from turned wood and metal. Measuring approximately 16 inches long, this decorative display was made to resemble an enlarged traditional fountain pen and would make an unusual collectible for a pen, stationery or vintage advertising collection.
The long dark-brown turned wooden barrel features multiple decorative incised ring bands and a shaped terminal. At the writing end is a large approximately 2-inch-wide metal nib, complete with a prominent circular breather/vent hole and pointed fountain-pen profile.
A curved metal fitting alongside the lower barrel represents the pen clip, further emphasizing its oversized fountain-pen form. Brass-tone metal collars connect the wooden body to the large decorative nib.
