A 1951 Gibson ES-125 has arrived. Its main specifications include a 16-inch wide, full-depth laminated maple body, a 1-piece mahogany wide neck, and a 14-fret joint.
The most distinctive feature of this instrument is the "1st Generation P-90" pickup, which was only used for a very short period from the late 1940s to the early 1950s. The electronics retain the original potentiometers (IRC, 5th week of 1951) and Grey Tiger capacitors, resulting in a rich, full-bodied tone with a deep, mature resonance.
While there are minor scratches, dents, and paint deterioration/wear throughout, it remains in very good condition considering its age. The frets have been leveled by our company.
Approximately 60% of the frets remain, and the truss rod can be adjusted both forward and reverse. Currently, playability and neck condition are excellent.
Tuners, truss rod cover, frets, nut, knobs, and bridge replaced. Body: 6th string side pickguard mounting hole repaired, tailpiece repaired, binding repaired.
Weight: Approximately 2.69kg
