BUCK’S STATEMENT:

In the years just before and after World War II, Pontiac automobiles carried some of the most striking Art Deco styling found on American roads. Chrome trim and bold lettering were used to proudly display the Pontiac name, giving these cars a sense of modern elegance and power. This vintage PONTIAC metal emblem is a surviving piece from that era, produced by Guide Lamp Division of General Motors, one of GM’s primary manufacturers of trim and lighting components.

Cast in solid metal with recessed block lettering and distinctive ribbed ends, the emblem measures roughly 10 inches long and retains its original mounting studs. The back is stamped “Guide Made in USA”, confirming it as an authentic General Motors manufactured part from the late 1930s–early 1940s period. Today it serves as a fantastic collectible for Pontiac enthusiasts, restoration projects, or as vintage automotive décor for a garage or man cave.
