BUCK’S STATEMENT:

In the earliest days of the automobile, long before plastic dealership plates and window decals, motor companies often advertised their name right on the car itself. Metal script emblems like this were mounted near the radiator or attached to a motometer bracket, proudly displaying the dealership that sold and serviced the vehicle. This vintage metal script reading “Fisher Motor Co.” captures that moment in automotive history, when local motor companies were introducing communities to the brand-new world of motor travel.

With its flowing cursive design and small automobile silhouette worked into the lettering, the piece reflects the elegant styling common to the 1910s–1920s automobile era. It would have originally been mounted to a vehicle or dealership display as a form of early advertising. Today it stands as a fascinating relic from the dawn of the automotive age—perfect for collectors of early automobile memorabilia, radiator badges, motometer accessories, or vintage garage décor.
