ARRI 35-III w/ CE Base, 400ft Mag + 12v XLR Power Pack - ARRIFLEX - Runs great!

~ Arri is the brand to trust when you need the best ~

This PL-mount Arri 35-III has been my B-cam for a number of years. Unfortunately, my current financial situation will not allow for a B-cam at this juncture. While the mag is a former rental find, the camera is definitely not. I purchased it from an advertising agency in France who I was told purchased it directly from Arri.

Condition-wise, the camera has the usual paint wear you'd expect from a camera of this vintage (late 1980s or early 1990s). The 4-perf movement is in great shape and very clean. It is a gen 2, which is capable of frame rates up to 120 fps. Since I had the cam fully serviced by Visual Products back in 2022 or 2021, I don't believe I've run a 1000 feet of film thru it.

The camera has the much sought-after Cinematography Electronics High-Speed base, which is in excellent condition, and includes a nice Clairmont 400 ft. magazine, as well as a 4-pin XLR 12v cable/power pack, which I purchased brand new not 6 months ago. I've easily bought over a dozen 35mm cameras in the past 15 years, and literally the last one to include a useable power cable and working battery pack was purchased way back in 2011.

In the example vid, the camera still had my Otto Nemenz mag on it loaded with a roll of 500T from a current project. I wanted to shoot the demo with actual film running thru the movement. Back in December, I sold my Arri BL4 back-up cam (see my seller feedback) which was last serviced back in 2018, and as-is it's presently shooting a short film across Italy. While it's always advisable get film cameras serviced as often as your budget will allow, this 35-III is most probably up to a short film or two as it is. Being an MOS cam, that generally means recording a scratch track, then later redubbing your dialogue scenes.

Please note, I've NEVER run this camera above the standard 24 fps and would strongly advise against doing any high-speed shooting until it can be fully serviced and lubed. Regrettably, I don't have an extra 12v cigarette plug charger, or I would've included that, too.

Free shipping within the continental U.S. and I always ship out within 2 days, oftentimes sooner.

NOTE: All proceeds from auction sales are being devoted entirely to the creation of my first feature length film. Set in the 1960's, the flick is a sentimental ode to classic Japanese sci-fi cinema. Despite its minuscule budget, the project is jam-packed with giant mutated meanies, flying saucers, classic hot rods and daringly-dressed vixens. All realized with traditional 35mm cameras and practical, old school FX.

Absolutely NO CGI whatsoever!

Should any kind person purchase one of my items, they'll be directly funding my small-scale efforts to keep the fast-vanishing art of celluloid filmmaking alive.
