Original pennies have circulated for many years, so naturally there will be variations in colour, patina and wear. These differences are part of the history and character of each genuine coin.

AUSTRALIAN PENNY DATES

Australian pennies were issued from 1911 to 1964, with two distinctive designs:

·       Commonwealth pennies (1911–1936) — originals available, except 1930 which is a replica

·       Kangaroo pennies (1938–1964) — originals available, except 1937, 1946 and 1954 which are replicas

·       Replica pennies (1965 onwards) — high-quality replicas including 1966
