Vintage Tomy wind-up walking turtle toy, originally introduced in 1977. While the classic version is famously solid green, Tomy also released variations in different color schemes, including this purple shell with yellow hexagons.

These retro toys feature a signature white wind-up knob on the top of the shell. When wound, the inner mechanical gears cause the small plastic legs underneath to move back and forth, allowing the turtle to "walk" or crawl slowly across hard, flat surfaces.

Working as intended, must be in hard flat surface.
