Scarce antique deep amethyst-purple glass beverage bottle embossed "M. Di Giacomo, 240 No. 57th St., Cap. 11 Oz., Philada." Retains its original wire-bail closure and matching porcelain stopper bearing the Di Giacomo name and address.

Believed to be an early-20th-century Philadelphia soda or mineral-water bottle from a small neighborhood bottling operation. No other example from this bottler was located during research.

Beautiful bold embossing and rich purple color. Antique condition with surface wear, staining and oxidation to the metal closure consistent with age. Please examine all photographs carefully for condition. Empty collectible bottle; sold for display only.
