Fire Thunderbolt “Phra Devadatta” Bull Amulet

The Fire Thunderbolt “Phra Devadatta” Bull is an ancient protective occult tradition from the Lanna lineage. Phra Ajarn Pornsit discovered an old sacred manuscript belonging to Kruba Chuen, the former abbot of Wat Sawang Arom, which had been preserved in the temple's scripture hall near his residence.
Phra Ajarn Pornsit studied the ancient teachings and later passed this knowledge on to his disciples. According to the tradition, the Fire Thunderbolt Phra Devadatta Bull is considered a powerful form of protective spiritual art. The original teachings describe two sacred bulls whose purpose is to protect and guard their owner.
For devotees who did not wish to undergo sacred tattooing, Phra Ajarn Pornsit also taught the Katha (sacred mantra) of the Fire Thunderbolt Phra Devadatta Bull. The mantra was traditionally used when traveling, staying overnight in unfamiliar places, or camping in remote forests. It is believed to provide spiritual protection and reassurance against harmful influences, spirits, black magic, and various forms of misfortune.
According to traditional beliefs, the sacred bull is cared for with grass and clean water, with special care given on Buddhist holy days. Devotees believe that when properly respected and cared for, the spiritual bull serves as a guardian, protecting its owner and driving away negative influences or people with harmful intentions.

Phra Ajarn Pornsit is respected for his humble lifestyle, disciplined practice, and devotion to traditional Lanna Buddhist and occult teachings. He is known for living a simple and secluded life in a small hut surrounded by nature and has been referred to by devotees as the “Master of Occult Arts of San Pa Tong.”
His studies began with teachings from his father and continued under numerous respected masters of traditional Lanna spiritual knowledge. He studied ancient disciplines from various lineages throughout Northern, Central, Northeastern, and Southern Thailand.
Phra Ajarn Pornsit also studied traditional knowledge from various ethnic and cultural lineages, including Shan, Burmese, Mon, Karen, and hill-tribe traditions, as well as Lao and Khmer traditions.
He is particularly knowledgeable in traditional sacred scripts, yantra designs, and magical inscriptions, including Lanna script (Tham Muang), Mon script, and Khmer script. His skill in sacred inscriptions, yantra tattooing, and yantra artwork is highly regarded, and he is known for his ability to create intricate designs directly without first drawing an outline.
The Fire Thunderbolt “Phra Devadatta” Bull, B.E. 2562 (2019) represents an important example of traditional Lanna sacred craftsmanship and spiritual heritage associated with Phra Ajarn Pornsit.
