Elizabeth Taylor Vintage Original Photograph 1947 MGM Cynthia Candid Beach. Item measures at approximately 10 x 13.
Taylor is caught mid-laugh, kneeling in the breaking surf in a striped sweater and rolled sleeves with her hair pinned up, both hands out toward the spray as a wave breaks over her and her cocker spaniel. It is an unguarded, entirely joyful image of her at fifteen, and it has none of the composure of a studio portrait. The photograph is number 8 in a publicity series made to accompany the release of Cynthia.
This photograph is in fine condition for its age. There is chipping, small tears and wear to the corners and edges, light creasing to the borders, light patina and handling marks throughout due to age. The verso shows light toning and a surface mark. None of the verso condition shows through or affects the front side.
