United States - 18 × Eisenhower Dollar Bicentennial 1776–1976 - Type 1 & Type 2 ( 2 Unusual D Mintmarks)

Collection of 18 Eisenhower One Dollar coins issued for the Bicentennial of the United States, bearing the special dual date 1776–1976 and commemorating the 200th anniversary of American independence.

The lot consists of:

12 × Philadelphia Mint – Type 2 – no mintmark
5 × Denver Mint – Type 2 – “D” mintmark
1 × Denver Mint – Type 1 – “D” mintmark

Total: 18 coins

The collection includes both recognised Bicentennial reverse types:

Type 1 – thicker, block-style reverse lettering
Type 2 – thinner, more refined reverse lettering

The collection includes one Denver Type 1 example together with seventeen Type 2 examples from the Philadelphia and Denver Mints.

Two of the Denver Type 2 coins show an unusual appearance around the “D” mintmark. Detailed microscope photographs of these mintmarks are included in the listing. No formal RPM, doubled mintmark or mint-error attribution is claimed; the close-up photographs are provided so collectors and the Catawiki expert can examine these characteristics directly.

The special Bicentennial reverse, designed by Dennis R. Williams, depicts the Liberty Bell superimposed on the Moon.
