A Very Rare 1946-1950 Barling's Make Family Era Extra Large Pot, the years when the stamp was increased in size, but the model numbers of the pipes were often missed and NOT stamped!! The briar of this Beautiful Old Pot is red/tan stained with Superb Straight and Dense Birdseye Graining, the wide bowl rim crisp with just very light scorching, Amazing Briar Quality from Barlings famous store of ancient briar!! The stem is the original Vulcanite thin saddle Fishtail with the Barling Cross Logo, and in great Used Condition like the rest of the pipe. A Rare Classic Barling!!!!
The bowl was lightly reamed and cleansed, the stem was fully sanitised to make the pipe ready to smoke as soon as you receive it, before the whole pipe was lightly wax polished to give the Stunning Finish you can see in the photos for a pipe between 75 and 80 years old!!! The pipe draws and will smoke perfectly, it sits so snugly in the hand, beautifully balanced and so very very tactile. An Amazing Rare Barling!!!
