New Haven Power 1838 - 1968 is a large book, 608 pages. It documents every locomotive, steam, diesel, and electric operated by the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad (the New Haven). It includes motor cars (interurbans), which could be electric or diesel powered (or gas, in one case). It adds a section on passenger cars and some freight cars. Another chapter describes many wrecks, with 44 photos. For completeness, a section describes buses and boats. And finally, there are 16 color plates at the end with artist renderings of New Haven locomotives.

The book is in fair condition. The major problem is that the binding hasn't survived the weight of 600 pages. The pages themselves are together solidly, but the cover is partly separated (see photo). The pages have slight yellowing on the edges.
