1979 VW Baywindow campervan, with a completely rebuilt 2L engine.

We purchesed the van in 2011, gutted the inside and built new untis, replaced the gas fridge with an electric one, put in a new sink with gas hobs and a new water pump.  We had all the cushions reupholstered and relaced the front seats with seats from a porsche 944.  Later we added a new sound system and a hdmi player we used for an amazon fire stick.  The van has a starter and leisure battery with a hook up cable for camp sites.

A few years ago on the way to cornwall the engine decided to pack up on us.  We then had the engine completly rebuilt and turned from a twin carb to a single.  The engine has never run so well, for once you could actually feel the power of the 2l engine.

Unfortunatly since then we have only used the van a couple of times so it is time to sell.  

As it has been stored in a carport the front of the van has been exposed to the weather and some rust has attacked the front right, front left and the passenger door, so it is in need of a small repair and respray.  You can see the rust damage in the images.

I took it for a drive today to get fuel and it drives better than when i bought it.

The van comes with lots of extras including an inflateable awning wich has never been used, a thin inflateable matress topper and an unused portable toilet.
