Machine compatibility depends on the selected grommet size, die configuration, machine capacity, and material being used. Larger sizes may not be compatible with every machine listed.
Always confirm that the grommets, washers, setting dies, and machine are designed for the same size before ordering.
Press machines and setting dies are sold separately unless specifically shown or stated as included in the listing.
INSTALLATION
Confirm that the grommets, washers, and setting dies are the same size.
Install the compatible upper and lower dies securely in the press machine.
Position the grommet, material, and washer correctly between the dies.
Apply controlled pressure to pierce the compatible material and set the grommet.
Inspect the installation to confirm that the grommet is centered and securely attached.
Test several installations on scrap material before beginning production.
Material thickness, density, number of layers, machine adjustment, and die condition can affect the finished result.
IMPORTANT MATERIAL LIMITATION
Self-piercing grommets may not cut through very dense or reinforced materials such as polyester webbing, elastic, heavy strapping, or multiple thick layers. These materials may require a pre-punched opening or compatible hole-piercing die before setting the grommet.
IMPORTANT RUST INFORMATION
Iron steel is an economical material intended primarily for indoor and short-term outdoor applications. These grommets and washers may rust or corrode when exposed to rain, moisture, humidity, saltwater, or harsh outdoor conditions for extended periods.
For permanent outdoor, marine, high-moisture, or corrosion-sensitive applications, brass or 304 stainless-steel grommets are recommended.
