Fantastic vintage McVitie’s Digestives (Wheatmeal) Biscuits storage tin, featuring the classic bold red, blue, yellow and white McVitie’s branding. Believed to date from circa the 1970s, based on the McVitie’s branding and packaging design. There are no manufacturer or date markings on the base, so an exact year cannot be confirmed. A brilliant piece of retro British advertising and kitchenalia, and particularly displayable thanks to its large-scale Digestives packet-style graphics. The cylindrical tin has a removable matching red lid with raised central handle. The McVitie’s Digestives branding wraps around the body, with the yellow wheat motif continuing around the sides. Condition Good vintage condition overall with lovely bright, strong graphics. There are age-related signs of use including surface scratches, scuffs, small marks and areas of paint loss, particularly around the edges and rims. The lid also has some surface marking and wear.
