You are bidding on one-of-a-kind piece of Voltron history, a piece of animation line art used in the production of Voltron Legendary Defender for Netflix. This is the hand-drawn art that was used to scan into the computer to then animate.
I acquired this piece in 2018 while I was working for a company that had a business deal with DreamWorks. As part of that deal the company I was working for was going to sell this animation art directly to Voltron fans. I traveled to the warehouse where the animation was stored and personally picked out pieces of art that I knew fans would appreciate, all of which came from the first two seasons. This art was being prepared to be sold when the division of the company I worked for shut down, thus meaning the sale of the art wouldn’t go through.
As a thank you for my help with the project, the head of the division gifted me a good chunk of the art since, in their words, “DreamWorks is just going to burn it all anyway." 99% of the material I received comes from the episodes The Rise of Voltron, The Fall of the Castle of Lions, and Space Mall.
Since then I've held onto the art and this piece has been stored in an Advantage Art Portfolio to protect it. I am now ready to let some of it go.
The piece you're looking at here features Pidge and will make a fantastic piece of any Voltron fans collection. The piece roughly measures 8.27 x 11.7 inches (A4 size.) Please note the art is drawn on whitepaper.
To confirm the authenticity of the material I can provide various photos of the folders the art came in, which includes production info, stamps, and other material that was only available from the original animation studio, Studio MIR. This can be confirmed against photos of the production material shared by social media posts from the Voltron production team. Along with that I have copies of timing sheets which were printed on the back of older Studio MIR production materials, including those from The Legend of Korra. Pictures of all of these are available upon request.
Unfortunately I can't hold orders once payment has been sent for your items.
For shipping, the animation art will be sealed in an acid free bag (meant for flat prints/art), put between two sturdy pieces of cardboard, secured with tape, and then carefully placed within a sturdy flat mailer.
NOTE TO BUYERS: I can combine orders but you need to first add the items you want to your cart, then go to the cart and request the total. I will then create an invoice for you and send it to you as soon as I can. That way you can possibly get a discount on shipping!
NOTE TO INTERNATIONAL BUYERS: Due to eBay's international shipping service and customs regulations, I cannot combine AUCTION orders without the shipping cost becoming much higher than shipping them separately.
If you have any questions let me know.
