Antique Late 1800s Large Chinese Rustic Wood Grain Rice Bucket Dove Tail Corners

Large Chinese rustic wood grain rice bucket with dove tail corners is a rare find from the late 1800s. This original piece showcases intricate wood craftsmanship and a rich brown color, typical of Chinese design in that era. There are scuffs and scrapes. The varnish is wearing off. A light sanding will bring this piece back to life. Handle is one complete piece. It stands 21½" tall including the handle. The box alone measures 14"×14" around the top tapering to 12"×12" around the middle and finally 11"×11" around the base. The box minus the handle stands 14¼" tall. I prefer the natural wood and was always going to sand down and just clear coat but i have too many projects. It would be a great primitive basket with a little tlc.
