Made in Great Britain by Mettoy as part of the Sunshine Vinyl puppet range, this example dates from 1965 and is one of the original licensed character puppets produced during the show’s original run.

Overall, it’s in good vintage condition for its age:

• Original vinyl head with good facial detail and original black paint for the hair and eyebrows, although a significant portion of the black paint to the back of his head has rubbed away over time.
• The head is moulded “Made in Gt. Britain 1965”.
• Original cloth glove body.
• No obvious splits or damage to the head or cloth body.
• Cloth body shows age-related marks, discolouration, and general wear consistent with a 60-year-old toy.

An increasingly hard-to-find piece of Gerry Anderson memorabilia and a great addition to any Stingray, Supermarionation or vintage television toy collection.
