Acceptable vintage condition with significant wear and damage. Please review all photos carefully before purchasing. The front cover has substantial surface/paper loss where a previous price sticker was removed, along with heavy rubbing, scratches, creases, edge wear and corner wear. Page 283 has a large tear; the page remains present. There is also moisture staining along the lower portion of the inside cover/end area, age toning and other wear consistent with a well-read paperback of this age. Book is otherwise complete. No attempt has been made to repair or restore the damage.

The colorful period cover features Gypsy Rose Lee and promotes the then-new Broadway musical Gypsy, noting “A smash Broadway musical starring Ethel Merman.” An especially fun piece of Broadway, burlesque and mid-century entertainment history.

The book retains the distinctive green-stained page edges associated with vintage Dell paperbacks.
