~ Please Read Before Purchasing ~

Please look at photos carefully as they are part of the description. While I try to give you the best accurate assessment of every item, all jewelry listed is antique or vintage and is NOT expected to be like new. All items should be expected to have light to moderate wear on all components and findings, even if it can't be seen with the naked eye.

All jewelry listed is inspected very carefully by me, a certified antique and vintage jewelry appraiser, and is considered to be in very clean and well cared for vintage condition and reflected in the price of the item.  As I am currently selling off my 50-year lifelong jewelry and other antique collections, ALL SALES ARE FINAL.

I've been selling antique and vintage jewelry and other wares online since 1986 from my own site. My jewelry has been featured in many antique and vintage jewelry books. I have collaborated on the publication of several vintage costume jewelry books as well. I also serve as an authority as a jewelry appraiser on several high-end auction sites.

Inspection at different assessment levels and under different lighting and magnification can be difficult to assess, describe, and grade. For this reason, I provide many clear photos and my best assessment of gentle handling, wear, or other imperfections. I also do not guarantee the future functionality of all antique and vintage clips, hooks, clasps, and closures. All are tested prior to shipping and in good working order.

Description ~

This admirable Sterling, Pearl, and Marcasite dome ring is a vintage ring that I bought in the 1970s. Wanting to keep it in perfect condition, the ring has been safely stashed away and never worn. The ring was not new when I bought it and the design appears to be from the 1950-1960 era.

The large lustrous bright white domed pearl cab is acrylic, surrounded by four sterling arches or ribbons inlaid with faceted Marcasites. The ring is set is a double sterling open work setting and the sturdy sterling ring band is squared. The squared ring band was something that was done on ring bands in the late 1950s and the 1960s so that a ring this size would fit well to the finger.

The ring is signed Sterling and there is also a hallmark I don't recognize. It appears to be three letters inside a recessed diamond frame.

The ring is a fixed size 6.5. The faux pearl is large, about the size of a large cherry tomato, or about 7/8" or 2 cm wide. The face of the ring is 1 1/8" or 2.8 cm wide.

The entire ring is in spectacular well cared for condition. The sterling is clean and bright with the original patina and all of the Marcasites are original, present, and sparkling. If you look at the ring under a loupe, some very light signs of gentle handling can be detected on the ring band and on the pearl; very microscopic in nature.

Comes shipped in a new luxury presentation ring box.
