Vintage 1930s Heisey Glass Oval boat shaped celery/ Relish / Candy Dish in Original Art Deco silvertone Metal Basket
Up for your consideration is a beautiful, authentic piece of 1930s elegant glassware. This boat-shaped oval dish is crafted by Heisey in their classic #343 Sunburst pattern, featuring distinct vertical ribbing on the sides and an embossed "H in a diamond" maker's mark on the bottom.
Color & Glass Details:
Pattern: #343 Sunburst (Impressed H Mark)
Color: I'm not sure the exact shade but it in my opinion it looks like a lovely, golden-yellow. Because vintage glass tones shift depending on home lighting, this piece could be Heisey's official Sahara or Marigold shade. It doesn't look like a bright lemon-yellow, but rather a warm, rich amber-gold hue in my opinion.
polished glossy finish.
Production: Quality press-molded elegant glass.
Art Deco Metal Basket:
The dish sits perfectly inside its original, period-correct metal display frame. The basket features stunning Art Deco styling, including structural angular "V" shape feet and a diamond-hatched pattern texture running along the rim.
Condition Note:
Glass: In great vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or major scratches. The impressed H-stamp is clean and visible on the bottom.
Metal Basket: This original frame shows honest vintage wear consistent with its age (nearly 100 years old). There are visible black spots, light tarnish, and minor surface pitting on the silver-tone metal, primarily along the diamond-patterned rim and upper rails as captured in the close-up photos. The basket retains its structural integrity, holds the glass securely, and offers a wonderful, authentic antique patina for those who love original vintage character.
