1970 MGB GT – Chrome Bumper – Tax & MOT Exempt
A very usable example of the ever-popular MGB GT, registered in 1970 and finished in an attractive blue with contrasting black interior.
Being an early chrome bumper model, this is a particularly desirable specification and benefits from historic vehicle status, making it road tax and MOT exempt.
The car is fitted with painted wire wheels and presents with a smart black interior retaining plenty of period character. It also features a Webasto-style sliding sunroof, making it a particularly enjoyable classic for summer use.
The accompanying history records a professional repaint in its original colour in 2013 and a replacement engine fitted in 2012. Previous documentation also notes a working overdrive gearbox and uprated front brakes.
The current owner has continued to use the car regularly during fair weather, rather than leaving it stored away, and it remains a good, usable classic ready to be enjoyed.
As you would expect from a car of this age that has been driven and enjoyed, there are some cosmetic signs of use and age. We would always recommend viewing the vehicle in person to appreciate its overall condition.
