This is a very uncommon find! An entire antique Chinese Silver Orange Chalcedony jewelry parure...still together as a set! This set dates from the 1930-1940 era and is not signed but was produced in China or Tibet.
This magnificent 5-piece set consists of a wide panel bracelet, an oval brooch, an oval ring, and oval screw back earrings.
This early 20th century parure features exceptional quality orange Chalcedony gemstones, all very large and perfectly polished. This Persian style was also made with Turquoise or Jade gemstones however the orange Chalcedony is the hardest to find.
The intricate filigree scroll and bead work is impressive old-world craftsmanship. The composition is 800 or 850 silver over copper. Some of the copper shows through and looks like gold.
The entire set is in superb pristine clean condition and in very well cared for antique condition that appears to have never been worn. It has been stored away in my collection for the past 30 years and never worn over this time either.
All of the domed Chalcedony cabs are excellent with no chips, cracks, scratches, or scuffs. The filigree work is great as well with no missing or damaged filigree. The backs of all pieces have light to moderate silver wear but no serious imperfections or flaws. All of the mechanisms are in perfect working order such as the earring screw backs, the bracelet clasp, and the safety catch on the brooch.
The set is not signed.
