This is a fantastic quality instrument that I understand was made in 1983 in the Matsumoko factory in Japan. It is stamped 'Monterey' in the soundhole (I think the 'Festival Series' was similar, but later). Looks like the top is spruce, sides are rosewood and the fretboard is a dark coloured rosewood (or possibly ebony).
There's a shallow bowl to the back, excellent quality tuning machines which are smooth and hold tune very well, and a very comfortable shape to the neck, all of which exudes early 1980s Japanese quality.
Comes with the original compensated saddle, undersaddle pickup, and the tone and volume controls for this are all functioning.
Crack to the varnish from the sound hole as pictured - does not extend to the wood beneath.
Comes in a case as pictured. Will be well packed in bubble wrap prior to delivery. Collection also available.
