Beautifully handmade in unpeeled willow with a bentwood handle, and probably dating back to the 1920s or 30s, this little willow basket is in remarkable condition for its age. Sourced in France, it's a perfect miniature of a shopping or market basket, made especially as a toy for young children. All styles of basket were copied for play, and I currently have another listing of a similar sized and aged basket in a different style.
