This is exactly the problem the Brahma channel socket is designed to solve. Its specially shaped body allows the narrow side of the socket to pass through the channel opening, locate over the fixing and then rotate in the space underneath the channel lips.
How It Works

LINE UP THE SOCKET
Align the narrow profile of the socket with the opening in the strut channel.

FIT OVER THE FIXING
Push the socket through the channel opening and locate the 17mm socket securely over the nut.

TURN BELOW THE LIP
The shaped body provides the clearance required for the socket to rotate beneath the channel lips.
