Offered is a pristine, unworn Athletica Mexico soccer jersey (size Medium, 46-inch chest) from the Mexican Olympic team’s 2004 Athens Games apparel collection, prominently signed with the autograph of Oswaldo Sánchez, No. 1. Oswaldo Sánchez played goalie and served as captain of the Mexican national team during the 2006 World Cup. The original Athletica retail tag is attached.

The jersey is signed in permanent marker on the front near the collar, above the Athletica logo. The autograph reads,  “O. Sánchez” and includes a prominent No. 1, his jersey number. The original owner, from whom I purchased the jersey in 2006, collected himself after a game the Sánchez autograph.

The jersey has sewn embroidered patches of a Mexican flag and the Olympics on the chest. The hem of the jersey features a 2004 Athens Olympics logo, also sewn. Features a striking tonal, sublimated Mesoamerican/Aztec-inspired shadow graphic woven into the green base fabric, giving it a classic vintage aesthetic. The cloth "Hecho in México" Athletica Size "M" tag sewn inside the neck is printed on the obverse, "R.F.C. Cat 991208QE5".

This new-with-tag has no stains, holes, pulls, fading, cracking, or other notable flaws. The only addition is the Oswaldo Sánchez autograph near the front collar. It has been stored safely in a climate-controlled, smoke-free home, for 20 years.

The jersey remains timely for collectors or any fan of El Tri, this vintage Mexico national team jersey captures the iconic cultural heritage of Mexican soccer. Mexico hosted the 2026 FIFA World Cup, won all three group-stage matches, and advanced to the Round of 16.
