Original antique embossed postcard mailed from Mentor, Kentucky, a now-discontinued post office in Campbell County.
The card features an attractive early 20th-century design with blue forget-me-not flowers, gold accents, an inset landscape scene and the greeting “For You Dear.” The design is embossed, giving the floral decoration and border a raised texture.
The reverse contains a handwritten personal message and retains its original green 1-cent Benjamin Franklin stamp.

Reverse has period handwriting. The Mentor, Kentucky postmark is strong and readily identifiable, with MAY 24 and 4 PM visible. The year is unclear. Original 1-cent Franklin stamp remains attached.
