Unusual vintage real photo postcard (RPPC) showing visitors posing with an ostrich-drawn cart at the Los Angeles Ostrich Farm in California.
The photograph shows two women seated in a small wheeled passenger cart with another woman standing beside the harnessed ostrich. Lettering on the side of the cart reads:
“LOS ANGELES OSTRICH FARM”
A handwritten caption along the lower border identifies two of the people and ends with “in Calif.”
Ostrich farms became popular Southern California tourist attractions during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Visitors could see the birds, purchase ostrich-feather products, and at some attractions ride in carts pulled by ostriches. The better-known Cawston Ostrich Farm in nearby South Pasadena is well documented for offering ostrich-drawn carriage rides and similar tourist experiences.
This is an especially appealing example because it captures the attraction in use, with visitors, an ostrich, and the identified Los Angeles Ostrich Farm cart all visible.

Reverse has extensive black paper/adhesive residue or surface damage, obscuring significant portions of the postcard back, including much of the stamp-box area. No readable postmark is visible. Please review both images carefully for exact condition.
