The photograph presents an excellent full view of the large brick school building, with its rows of classroom windows, central entrance, mature trees, and expansive lawn. The photographer's identification “High School, Wells, Minn.” appears directly in the negative at lower left.
Wells has a long educational history. Records preserved by the Minnesota Digital Library include a Wells High School graduating class photograph from 1897 and a photographic postcard of the school's agriculture class from 1910.
The reverse bears a Kodak stamp box and the publisher's imprint:
“ALL RIGHTS RESERVED — THE L. L. COOK CO., MILWAUKEE”
The card is unused and unposted.
A particularly nice piece for collectors of Wells, Faribault County, Minnesota schools, educational history, or Minnesota real photo postcards.
Good vintage condition with normal age-related wear. Minor corner and edge wear and light surface marks consistent with age. Photograph remains sharp and well contrasted, with excellent architectural detail. Reverse is clean and unused with publisher and Kodak markings visible. Please review photos for exact condition.
