“PRAÇA DA REPÚBLICA E PALÁCIO DA FAZENDA – RECIFE – PERNAMBUCO”
The reverse contains a typed message dated January 24, 1950, from Belém (Pará), Brazil. The writer describes the Brazilian heat and mentions animals from the jungles, including the amusing observation that monkeys could be purchased for $2.50 each.
