The image is especially interesting for the enormous size and dense growth of the trees, with a person visible beneath the central tree providing a sense of scale. Oregon myrtle, particularly associated with southwestern Oregon and the Coos County area, became closely identified with the region and its well-known myrtlewood industry.
The reverse contains a lengthy handwritten message but does not appear to have been mailed. An appealing early Oregon real photo postcard for collectors of Coos County, Oregon forestry, myrtlewood, Pacific Northwest history, and vernacular photography.
Vintage condition with age-related wear. Light edge and corner wear and some surface/tonal aging are visible. Handwritten identification appears along the lower front edge, with a handwritten message covering much of the reverse. Please review both images carefully for exact condition.
