An original 19th-century livestock print titled "Improved Middlesex Pigs” which was originally published in London by Joseph Roberson in 1850.
The print is an etching and engraving by E.Hacker after an original painting by H. Strafford.
It depicts a silver prize-winning pig bred by Mills Barber in Uxbridge and they were awarded with this medal in 1848.
A classic example of Victorian livestock art.
The print itself shows noticeable foxing.
