A lovely original vintage G-Plan drop leaf dining table, complete with its original G-Plan manufacturer's label.
A wonderfully practical piece of British mid-century furniture, the table features two drop leaves allowing it to be easily adapted depending on the space available. With both leaves raised it provides a generously sized dining surface, whilst dropping the leaves creates a much narrower footprint when not in use.
The beautifully shaped central pedestal and supporting legs give the table a distinctive mid-century appearance, whilst the warm timber grain and gently rounded tabletop corners provide the understated styling for which G-Plan furniture has become so sought after.
Its versatile design makes this particularly useful for homes where space is at a premium, providing a proper dining table when required without permanently occupying a large area of the room.
A genuine and increasingly desirable piece of British G-Plan furniture that remains both stylish and extremely practical today.
Presented in very good vintage condition overall, particularly considering its age.
The table is solid and sturdy, with the drop leaf mechanism operating as it should.
There are some age-related marks, surface wear and variations to the finish of the tabletop, which have been photographed as clearly as possible. These are consistent with decades of normal use and form part of the character of an original vintage piece.
The table retains its original G-Plan manufacturer's label.
