A very rare small Royal Copenhagen blue fluted leaf pickle dish, designed by Arnold Krog.

As you can see from the photos the handle is not original.

It has had a very clever and unusual restoration; the restorer has not followed the design of the original handle,

but has replaced it a with a very delicate matt finished handle which looks as if it is made from twisted Willow!

Including the handle, this enchanting little dish measures approximately 9.2cm long x 6.5cm wide x 3.5cm high.

The backstamp includes the three blue waves and the number 390; the crown is green, Denmark and the numbers 1-148.

The backstamp indicates that this piece was made between 1894-1900.

Apart from the handle restoration/replacement, the dish is in very good condition, no cracks or chips;

some slight discolouration (photo 12).
