Vintage Book Lot - 3 Pieces
Holy Bibles and Longmans' English Grammar
Mixed Eras, Vintage

A curated collection of vintage volumes featuring two distinct translations of the Holy Bible and a classic educational text. This lot includes an early to mid-20th century American Standard Version by Nelson, a mid-century paperback King James Version, and a traditional Longmans' English Grammar. These books represent varied publishing styles and serve as examples of period-specific binding, typography, and pedagogical history.

Items Included:
• Holy Bible, American Standard Version, published by Nelson. Black leather-bound with gilt-edged pages and decorative spine ribs. Shows heavy antique wear.
• The Holy Bible, King James Version, Jove Books. Mass market paperback edition containing both Old and New Testaments.
• Longmans' English Grammar, Longmans Publishing. Tan cloth hardcover with ornate embossed decorative border and traditional academic styling.

Condition: Overall vintage condition ranging from heavily distressed to good. The Nelson Bible shows significant deterioration and fraying to the leather spine and cover edges with material loss; the gilt edges are worn, and interior pages show age yellowing. The Jove paperback shows typical cover rubbing, edge wear, and toning to the pages. The Longmans' Grammar has surface soiling and corner bumping to the cloth boards but remains structurally sound. All volumes show age-appropriate paper oxidation.
