Antique Stanley No. 24 transitional hand plane, an early style of Stanley woodworking plane that combines traditional wooden plane construction with Stanley’s adjustable metal plane components.
Transitional planes represent an important period in the development of American woodworking tools, bridging the traditional wooden plane with the later all-metal bench plane. The No. 24 is an interesting model for collectors of early Stanley planes and traditional woodworking tools.
Overall in fair condition with expected wear on the wooden sole and mouth. The stud came out with the depth adjustment knob so that may need attention. Because if that (I think) the depth adjustment isn’t properly working because it won’t engage the chip breaker. With some tweaking it’d be a decent user.
