This is an amazing piece of WWII history—an authentic, theater-made "trench art" souvenir ring from the Philippines. These were handmade by local artisans for soldiers during the liberation era, and this one has incredible detail. The face of the ring is split into three distinct sections. The top is engraved with "1946" and a military-style arrow. The middle section features "Philippines" in beautiful hand-carved script, set against a contrasting copper or rose gold metal strip. The bottom panel finishes it off with geometric native patterns. It has a great, heavy look on the hand and makes a fantastic statement piece.

Metal: Solid Sterling Silver. It has been acid-tested and confirmed.

Markings: There is a faint hallmark stamp on the inside of the band, but like most handmade wartime jewelry, it’s partially struck and hard to make out.
