Memory manufacturers define 1GB as 1,000,000,000 bytes, while your device calculates in binary. This is why the capacity shown on your phone or computer is lower than the capacity printed on the card. A small amount of space is also reserved for formatting and system files.

Why does my device show less storage than the label?
This is normal for all memory cards. Manufacturers count 1GB as 1,000,000,000 bytes while devices count in binary, and some space is reserved for formatting.
Will this work in my older camera or phone?
Cards of 64GB and above use the SDXC standard. Most devices made in the last ten years support it, but very old hardware may not. Your device manual will confirm the maximum supported capacity.
Do I need the SD adapter?
Only if your device has a full-size SD slot, such as a laptop or a DSLR. Phones, drones and action cameras take the microSD card directly.
Can I record 4K video continuously?
Yes. The U3 and V30 ratings guarantee a minimum sustained write speed of 30MB/s, which is what 4K recording requires.
