Vintage framed U.S. Navy “Realm of the Arctic Circle” Blue Nose certificate awarded aboard the USS Forrestal (CV-59).

This certificate was issued to MA1 Edward L. Hyatt on September 13, 1987, commemorating his crossing of the Arctic Circle and induction into the traditional “Blue Nose” fraternity of sailors who have served in Arctic waters.

The certificate features colorful Arctic-themed artwork including a walrus, polar bear, seals, reindeer, Arctic explorers, an embossed gold seal, and patriotic ribbon. A wonderful display piece for collectors of naval, military, maritime, and USS Forrestal memorabilia.
