Description: Presented is a very impressive cast bronze figural mantel clock. The case is shaped like a large rock, with a statue of a young girl in bucolic peasant clothes climbing the rock and breaking a twig from a bush. There is possibly some symbolism in this composition, but I don't know what it is. The clock itself is in a brass case with a porcelain dial. 

The case is in excellent condition with no damage. I'm unaware if any small parts are missing. I don't know if the clockwork mechanism is original, but it fits perfectly.

Judging by the style of the case and patina, I would date the clock to the late 1700s - early 1800s.

This is more like an art object - a beautiful antique sculptural clock - elegant and impressive. It is quite large - 9.5" tall and 8.5" wide. Very heavy.
