The bowl measures 30 cm in diameter by 15 cm high (an internal depth of 25cm diameter x 12 cm internal depth). Its unique grain pattern and strength are a testament to the quality of Australian craftsmanship, ensuring that it not only enhances your space but also stands the test of time.

Lloyd Fleming has been a woodturner and master craftsman since the late1980s. He began his career turning wooden bowls after retiring to rural Queensland, Australia. He instantly took an interest in rare timbers, firstly from across Australia, with his wood store extending to international rare timbers in the following years. Most pieces for sale come from wood cut down from before 1990. Since 2010, Lloyds’ skills have expanded his practice to include handcrafted containers and vases. His work showcases the natural beauty of wood, all left untreated, finished using at least 5 layers of Danish oil, although many pieces have almost double this amount. With light sanding in between layers, this technique reacts with the wood’s natural tannins, resulting in a rich, organic finish that highlights the material’s character and depth.
